Tournaments

Tournament season for C and D players begins in the spring. Tournaments provide The Lady Hawks the opportunity to play teams outside our league, state, and even country! Last tourament season, The Lady Hawks traveled to Massachusetts, Lancaster Pa, Northern New Jersey, and Aston to compete.

The C team placed second in the Massachusetts tournament, losing to the undefeated Nova Scotia Hawks.

Both teams played in their respective divisions as they played in support of finding a cure for MS in the Hockey Fights MS tournament in Bethlehem, PA. In some instances teams were combined.

The Lady Hawks took first in the Summer Sizzler in Aston, Pa after a hard battle with the American's Women's Hockey Club that finally ended in a shootout when Natalie Capozzi took a hard shot to beat the American's goalie for the championship win. The C and D teams hosted a home tournament last year inviting teams inside and outside the UWHL, the furthest team traveling from Pittsburgh, Pa. The Deleware Pheonix took the D division championship while the Pittsburgh Predators fought hard to take the C division championship.

As of now, no tournaments are scheduled, but be sure to check back periodically for updates.

Other Happenings:

The Lady Hawks organization participated in the Sixth Annual Philadelphia Dragon Boat Race. Competing teams included men and women from different organizations in the Philadelphia region. The Lady Hawks rowed their way success by participating in the championship race finishing fifth overall. YOU ROW GIRLS! Our Lady Hawks are truely more than hockey!!

Annual Fundraiser/Beef and Beer:

Last March the Lady Hawks hosted our annual fundraiser catered by Jessica Lee at the fire house in Warrington. Our Lady Hawks raised money while having a great time dining, drinking, and dancing with our family and friends. Our Lady Hawks worked hard in organizing and making the event a huge success. We hope this year will be the same.
