Hawks Announce Fall League Registrations!

The Hawks are happy to announce that they are returning to Bucks County Ice Sports Center (formally known as Faceoff Circle) in Warminster for the Fall Season.

We have a very high interest this season from some new players to the organization, and are excited to play in the new 4 division UWHL.

Due to the high interest all returning players from the 2009-2010 season are asked to have in their $100 deposit prior to 7/7/10 (see Pam/ Deb Kalman). If you do not have in your deposit, it will be assumed that you are not intending to play for the 2010-2011 season, and you forfeit your roster spot.

Evals will be two nights in July, with the dates TBA (stay tuned). All new and returning players are asked to please register online (even if you already paid, just choose “check”, so that we have everyone’s contact information in place. Please register prior to 7/7/10 for returning players, and by Evals for new players. Ideally if you are interested in skating in the fall, register ASAP so that we can get a good idea of numbers.

If anyone has any questions or concerns, please email info (at) ladyhawkshockey.org . Thanks and look forward to seeing you all on the ice!

C and D Teams Continue to Soar

Last weekend was a hockey-filled weekend for both Hawk teams.  The C team remains unbeated with a tie against Queenston on Saturday night.  The team welcomed back Natalie who they missed the first half of the season. Natalie played an awesome game at defense!    Queenston scored with just 5 seconds left to kill on a 5 on 3 PP. It was a team effort on our only goal. The C team remains unbeaten in UWHL play at 6 Wins 0 Losses and 3 Ties.  Carla is 4th in scoring in the white division of the UWHL with 6 goals and 4 assists.

Next game for the C Hawks 1/31/10 at Black Widows at 12:15pm

The D team played the Bridgewater Wings on Saturday and the Americans on Sunday winning both games! D Hawks beat the Wings 4-1 and the Americans with a score of 3-1.  The D Hawks showed great positional play and on the point passing. The D Hawks are excited to play the undefeated Blades and the 5-3 White Lightning this weekend. The D Hawks remain in 2nd place in the red division behind the Blades.  Cindy ranks in 3rd place of all scorers in the red division of the UWHL.

I personally would like to thank Kathy for using her head. Kathy gave me a sweet pass off of her head to my stick that ended up in a goal. Thanks Kathy!

Upcoming games: 1/30/10 @ Home against Blades 8:55pm and 1/31/10 @ White Lightning 3pm!

Keep up the hard work! GO HAWKS

Milestones for Hawks

Work and life in general won the time battle this week so unfortunatley, I did not get around to writing up game summaries, but I wanted to acknowledge the Hawks who made milestones in their careers last week.

In non-league play against the Bridgewater Wings, Jacky Foley scored a hattrick and led the team to win 6-0.

Judy McCauley earned the shutout.

The C team now plays in the White Division but seems to be enjoying some success with 1-0-1 record. Keep up the good work, ladies!!

The D team congratulates Tracey Churray on her first career shut out. The D team beat the Deleware Bobcats 1-0 in League play.

The D team sits in first place and remains undefeated with a record of 3-0 with only 3 goals against.

Next week’s action:
C Hawks home 11/7 vs Black Widows 8:55pm
D Hawks away 11/7 vs Concord Flames 7:30pm
