Spring League Details

  • Season Starts with a draft Tues March 29th, and runs through Thurs June 16th
  • Games are Tues or Thurs nights @ 8pm
  • Includes 1 practice, 10 games, Jersey, Ref, and a Timekeeper for each game.
  • Cost is $250/ Skater and $50/ Goalie
  • First two periods will be stop clock, final period will be run clock.
** We have a lot of interest this year, and if we have enough registered,
we will have 6 teams and 3 nights (Tues,Wed,Thurs).

Because of this we have to have a firm registration cut off date of
Monday 3/7, to secure the ice, and determine the number of teams.

If you register after that date we cannot guarantee a spot or jersey for you, so please make sure that you get your registration in ASAP. Hopefully we will get enough for the 6 teams, and will be able to accept late registrations, but if not, we will cap the teams at 13.

Thanks everyone, and see you out on the ice!

Spring League is Back!!

We are currently accepting early registrations for the Hawks Annual Spring Hockey League.

We are in the process of finalizing the details, including exact dates, and final cost (it will be inline with previous seasons). We expect quite a big turn out this season, and in anticipation of scheduling additional teams, we are asking everyone who is interested in playing to please get those registrations in as early as possible!!

For those who are new, Spring League is our annual in-house league. It’s held at Bucks County Ice Sports Center in Warminster PA, and is open to all skill levels. We hold a draft at the beginning of the season, and divvy up the teams so they are all of equal skill level. It’s a great opportunity to get into playing games (for a beginner), hone your skills (for the intermediate player), and have a lot of fun just playing hockey.

Registration will include:

  • 10 Games
  • USA hockey Ref
  • Team Jersey (register early to guarantee your jersey size!)

A new goalie is born….

….Well maybe not, but Christina did an AWESOME job last night at the Learn to Play Clinic.

Christina Reeves' Goalie Debut!

She volunteered to test out (in my opnion) the best spot on the ice, and looked great doing it!.

She said:

After last night’s debut… Tracey’s Goalie position is very secure …. And I have a new found appreciation for covering the backdoor and being screened by my big-assed Defensemen (me)!  Highlights from last night included not being able to find the puck …and then finding it miraculously in my glove (duh!!)!!

Well great job Christina!! For anyone else who would like to give goalie a shot, please let me (Tracey) know. We have a whole set of extra equipment between Judy and myself, and the clinic is the perfect place to give it a try, even if just for the night!

Hawks and Friends Row to….Well They Rowed!!!

The Hawks participated in the 9th annual Philadelphia International Dragon Boat Festival which took place on the Schuylkill river on October 23rd. The team included Hawks players, coaches, spouses, friends and children all of which enjoyed a beautiful day of food, fun and friendship along the river.

The first race was the intergenerational challenge in which the Hawks finished third with a time of 2:50.27. This put them in the D division semi-final where they finished second with a time of 2:45.37.

In the D division final race, they won a silver medal with their best time of the day 2:41.69. This time was good enough to earn them 24th overall finish in the festival out of about 120 boats. Their best performance yet! And all of this racing was done with less than a full complement of 20 paddlers. Great job everyone…..you guys are the best!!!
