Clinics

Part of the hawks mission is to introduce women in the area to the sport of ice hockey. We are dedicated to growing the sport, providing a place for all skill levels to play, learn, compete, and excel in hockey. We offer a number of ways for women to enjoy the sport, and start learning.

We currently offer two types of clinics.

Take a Shot Night

Take a Shot offers women with no experience, or even equipment to come out on the ice and give hockey a try. A few times a year the Hawks offer this clinic, typically as a precursor to the Learn To play Hockey 10 week clinic. The cost is free, and you are paired up with a member of the Hawks, if you don’t have equipment it will be provided for you, and a USA Hockey certified coach guides you through some skating drills, some stick handling, and even a mini scrimmage at the end.

Learn To Play Hockey – 10 Week Clinic

The clinic is designed for beginner and intermediate women looking to learn how to play hockey, and to improve their game. The clinic will include 10 weeks of practices with a USA hockey certified coach. We will be covering skating, shooting, stickhandling, and some gameplay (including some scrimmages).
